RUP and Rupevolution Rupee Evolution
I live in Wales in the United Kingdom , and i got a friend lives in Andalucia in the south of Spain . In the spring of 2017 he began emailing me he had found out how to buy Bitcoin . By July 2017 i had bought some as well and what i really wanted to do was buy cryptocurrency based from India.
I been to India a lot , i like it , i was there in the 1990’s and saw the mobile phones arrive , i was there in early and mid 2000’s , saw the internet arriving. I was under no illusions about how good the Indian sub continent was with IT and computer technology . The Indian psyche is completely at home with these electronic devices , the whole country is a natural for it . I thought Indian crypto was going to be huge.
I found RUP . It had started life in Karachi , Pakistan , and failed . Picked up by a team in Hyderabad , India it was relaunched in 2017 . Heralded as the cryptocurrency for India and SE Asia , it seemed legit , was available on several exchanges , and there was a chat forum on Bitcointalk . I began buying RUP.
In 2018 i bought an android tablet , never had one before , only used a laptop . On the android device i could get Telegram chat forum . I found the RUP chat forum on there , but mostly continued following the Bitcointalk forum . One day there was a post on Bitcointalk saying an alternative RUP thread on Telegram had started , and should be checked out . So i checkedit out , this new Telegram RUP thread , and found a very animated group of unhappy RUP holders , talking to each other on there .
It appeared the Hyderabad RUP team were making no effort to promote RUP , no developement , no marketing , nothing . There was a swap to a new coin for an upgrade , but that was it . As we moved through 2019 it became apparent there was just two front men dealing with talking to the public , and behind them an empty shell , no project , nothing.
So out of the Telegram group a team emerged , intent on taking on the empty shell of RUP , for which some good work had been done originally , and turning this dead coin into something new , that could develop and move forward . RUPEE was born , first called RupEvo , then RUPEE.
A new wallet appeared quite quickly , but it was flawed . The team , led by Deadstool put wallet developement on hold , carried on slowly with the job of swapping RUP to Rupee . Not a straightforward business , the swap . It has to be done in stages , with phased amounts of a persons total RUP being sent in 6 swaps .
There are also other requirements to swap , join the Twitter group , join this Medium blog , join other Telegram groups , along with working out how much to send in each swap phase , its a regular obstacle course .
Also , send RUP in to swap , but don’t receive Rupee until a new wallet is available . A dev team to deal with this and blockchain related issues for Rupee is being sought, in India , right now .
So a fair amount of faith is required here . If like me , a person has RUP from 2017/18/19 then this is really the only way forward , there is no future for the old RUP coin . I have followed this step by step , i have no technical computer knowledge , i can just about buy , transfer and sell cryptos . But i can follow chat forums , it is my belief the team that came together to bring the new coin out , have good intentions and are working towards a positive end .
The Rupee Evolution (RUPEE) thread on Telegram is the place to follow the news , find out how to swap RUP for Rupee . . . . and send positive vibes to Deadstool , project leader , working to make this happen .
